It was a first time when Mr. Bachchan came on the television show. It was created by David Briggs and there are 5 seasons of KBC held till now and Mr. Bachchan host it a year 2000, 2005, and 2010 and now recently show started on August 15, 2011 of its 5th season.Mr. Bachchan hosts this show four times and in a year 2007, 3rd season of the show was hosted by Mr. Shahrukh Khan, he is also great bollywood actor. Prize money for the first three seasons was rs.
1 crore and in a 4th season there was a jackpot question of rs. 5 crore and in a fifth season prize money is 5 crore. Production company of the show is Big Synergy production and channel of the show till 2007 was star plus and after that Sony was came in its place. Time period of the show is 60 minutes till 4th season and in a 5th season it is increase and time period is 90 minutes. First of the person who is an Indian and above 18 years can participate in the game show but no other person can participate behalf of other person. Lines of KBC 5 were open on May 27, 2011 at 9 p.m. and close after 24 hours.

Sms cost of the message was rs 5 for all the subscribers and for telephone it is rs. 5 per minute for Idea subscribers and others. Auditions of the show are in the limited cities and you cannot choose the location of the audition. In auditions there are two rounds first is skill based question round and second is video round where contestant give personal interview. After that it is shortlisted process some and selected people are calling by producers for the Fastest Finger First Round.
